To the beer lover, the Library offers Malaysia’s largest selection of both imported and locally brewed beers, a variety of premium liquor, as well as a tantalizing food menu. The Library Group sells more beers than any other group in Malaysia and it is the first to introduce personal/self service beer taps.
Do you enjoy drinking Hoegaarden and having a Carlsberg beer?
The Library happens to be the Number 1 Hoegaarden outlet in Souteast Asia and Number 1 Carlsberg outlet in Kuala Lumper (2009). Plus get this, at its peak, the Library (e@Curve outlet) sold more than 60,000 glasses of beer in a month
Normally pubs provide lil baskets of snacks like pretzels, chips, chicken wings as you catch up with friends over a beer or as you watch your favourite football match. However at The Library they go on step further by serving you your favourite cold beer along with tantalizing food.
I’ve been to the Library at Midvalley and The Curve. I can say with joy that i had a blast of a time at each outlet.
Being a football fan, I spent another time at the Library at Megamall for the Kronenbourg 1664 Media Appreciation Night. Performances by the live bands are impressive, there was one singer i heard who had a real nice husky voice and his rendition of “knockin on heaven’s door” was not bad! A modern concept which was very much to my liking.
Service was brilliant and efficient too. It was a big plus point when the Stoke vs Manchester United match wasn’t playing, all we had to do was request for them to change it to the correct channel, and there i was eating an awesome sandwich whilst watching… sadly a disappointing game, on a humongous screen. The waiters were friendly, another plus point!
Outlets that are already opened are at Midvalley Megamall, the Curve, IOI boulevard, Avenue K. Now this happening gastro pub is launching a new outlet in Subang Jaya.
Each of the different LIBRARY outlets have their own unique identities, and these attributes are conveyed from the interior design of the outlet. The Library at IOI is Oriental-themed, Avenue K has a French influence, and the Curve is British, while Mid Valley oozes a contemporary lounge feel. The new Library at First Subang will carry a Japanese theme all the way from interior design to food, including Asahi beer. This differentiation across the outlets is to ensure that everyone can find a favorite Library to go to.
I’ve been a fan of Japanese culture for a number of years. It all started, when i picked up my first Japanese Manga and watched my first anime. From then on, i even went as far as buying books on Japanese traditions, myths and legends (reading stuff like this is a favorite past time of mine). But I’m ranting…point is, I was deliriously happy to hear that Library is now out with another outlet that has a Japanese theme and they even have an appropriate name for the place – TOSHOKAN. Wahhh sounds so keng..
Just check out the pics below
Guess who was at the Library public launch too. Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers. Checkout the interior at Toshokan and the pic with two girls dressed up in school uniform.
