It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and I was preparing for a big meal all week long. I was preparing my visit to Spasso Milano again. But this time it was after they moved to their new home in Pavilion Shopping Complex on the 6th floor.

Upon arrival, buddies Craig, Farrell and Adrian were already waiting for me. I was told there some new items on the menu created by the big Boss Chef of the Kitchen, Felice. I first met the happy looking Italian chef last year, when I made my first visit to Spasso Milano. After saying some quick hi’s and catching up, we got down to business. The food!

Appetizers
Smoked Duck Breast : Sliced Home-smoked Duck Breast & Avocado, drizzled with Hazelnut Oil. The smoked duck had an amazing aroma from the smoking. The pairing with the avocado was very rich, but the balsamic dressing and the lemon gave a good balance throughout the dish. Salad Caprese : Combination of Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella and Tomato. Now, the food pairing for this dish was a no brainer! How can you hate tomato and fresh mozzarella cheese together! The sliced sundried tomatoes and basil just made the whole dish complete along with an olive paste across the plate. The dish covered the sweet, sour and salty part of our tastebuds.
1. Minestrone : Mixed Vegetable with a hint of Pesto, 2.Porcini Mushroom : 100% Porcini Mushroom drizzled with White Truffle Oil and Parmesan, 4.Creamy Pumpkin
Main Meals
Roasted Wagyu Beef Panini : Wagyu Strip loin, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato & Parmesan, Light Mustard Mayo.

Bianca Contadina : Grilled Zucchini, Basil, Oregano, Cherry Tomato & Mozzarella. The pizza had a lot of depth,

Garoupa Orange : Pan-seared Sweet citrus orange flavor. The orange gave the garoupa a nice tangy twist to the dish. Simple yet delicious.

Chicken Saltimbocca : Chicken filet filled with Fresh Sage, Rosemary, Beef Salami & Taleggio, White Wine Sauce flavoured with Taleggio & Rosemary, Pasta Aglio Olio

Risotto Alla Milanese. Simple, yet real classic Risotto flavored with Saffron. What i love about risotto dishes are how well they just seem to melt in your mouth even. The taste was lovely. It’s my second time eating Spasso’s risotto and i’ve not been disappointed. 🙂 The risotto was rich and creamy and the hint of saffron just made the dish taste all the better! Simple for the win!
Side Dishes
Cheese Platter: Choose any 4 types (Gorgonzola, Fontina, Taleggio, Smoked Scarmoza, Fontal, Provolone and Pecorino) served with sliced Apple, Walnut & Grilled Focaccia. This was not suppose to be one the dishes to try that day. But Craig and Farrell were insistant in me trying this dish.My favourite cheese out of the 4-5 cheese slices has to be Fontaine.. ohh yum yum yum. How i’ve missed you. I really liked munching on the cheese just with the green apple. it gave a nice tangy taste to the cheese. Was not a huge fan of the jam and cheese..
