03 Apr Face Factors Clinic SilkPeel Treatment
A couple of weeks ago, I stopped by Face Factors Clinic to try out their Silkpeel DermalInfusion Treatment.
Here’s the thing, i don’t usually go for facials because I had a bad experience when I went for my first facial. In short since then, I never really bothered with facials. However I am getting ripe with age and I’m taking more preventive measures now to take care of my skin. Anyway, so I decided to give this treatment a try and quite timely too because i’ve been having some “pore-blems” with my skin (did you get the pun :P)
What attracted me to the Silkpeel treatment was that it will clean up my pores in a matter of 30mins or less! Best part no pinching or popping of pimples that will leave my skin red and scared. It’s a safe non-invasive manner to improve skin problems such as acne, pigmentation, dehydration and fine lines. It also stimulates new cell growth. After conducting the SkinPeel it will enhance the absorption ability of your skin by 60%, so I’ve been told.
I’ll explain a bit more about Face Factors Clinic later but let’s go through my SilkPeel experience.
Step 1
Mila my beautician first prepared a mix of topicals that are based on my skin condition. I advised her that my skin is a combination of oily and dry. I don’t have huge acne problems but I do have issues with clogged pores and whiteheads.
The mixtures is placed into one bottle to be absorbed into the skin.
A closer look at the machine.
Step 2
She cleansed my face first and then proceeded with the treatment. The process involves her rubbing this penlike structure all over my face and the tip of handpiece is where the magic happens. The nozzle has a suction piece to deliver the solution while exfoliating the outer layer of the skin. Unlike pinching and forcing out whiteheads, there was no pain during this process. I just felt the suction pressure of the machine, which works to pull out blackheads and whiteheads from the surface of the face.

My pores were unclogged too, cause when i went home i did check by giving them a squeeze and nothing came out. It had been sucked right out. Here’s all the dirt that was sucked out from my face.. eewww. Can you see the small floating particles? I’m glad it’s all out.

If you’re wondering how the nozzle exfoliates?
Take a look at this magnified graphic.
A Silkpeel session will cost at RM400 per treatment, or about RM2,000 for a full course (depending on skin conditions). If you are looking for the following:
I do recommend this treatment. Painless and less abrasive. The beauticians and doctors are friendly and more than happy to answer any of your questions.
